Praia do Meio, a wild paradise in Rio

Praia do Meio is one of the last wild beaches in Rio de Janeiro. It is located in Barra de Guaratiba, a neighborhood in the West Zone of the city.

Access to the beach is via a moderate-level trail lasting approximately one hour.

It has rough seas being calmer in the left corner where at times it forms a natural pool. In this same corner is a small source of fresh water where it is possible to remove the salt from the body.

It is worth mentioning that before venturing on a trail, seek information and, if necessary, hire a qualified professional. Another thing, all waste produced must be brought back and it is also forbidden to feed wild animals.
