Summer in Rio

Summer is the most anticipated time for many inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. The season starts in December and runs until March. During this period, the city receives millions of tourists who look for its paradisiacal beaches and the parties that take place at this time.

The grand opening of summer in Rio begins with the New Year's Eve party at Copacabana Beach, considered the largest in the world.

Between February and March there is carnival, the biggest party in the world. During this period, several cultural organizations called "bloc" went out into the streets, attracting thousands of people. In the famous Sambódromo, the luxurious parades of samba schools, known around the world, take place.

But what many people don't know is that the summer heat in Rio de Janeiro is unbearable. Temperatures often exceed 40° Celsius, with an even higher thermal sensation. Another point is the prices that are very expensive.

Unfortunately, Rio de Janeiro has a history of poor service. This problem is intensified in the summer because during this period the city is full of people and the bars and restaurants are very crowded, requiring hours of waiting for a service.

It's not that I didn't want you to come visit my city in the summer, but I feel obliged to make it clear to you, a tourist who is reading this post, to know what the summer in Rio de Janeiro is really like. I love my city, but I understand that it has many problems that are intensified in the summer. A tip for you traveler is to get to know Rio de Janeiro in autumn. At that time, the city is not so hot, nor is it with such high prices, and you will enjoy it much more.
