Cristo Redentor

 Cristo Redentor is the most famous tourist spot in Brazil. It is located at the top of Corcovado Montain in Tijuca National Park.

There are two ways to visit it: by van and by train.

The company Paineiras Corcovado leaves from various points of the city and continues to the attraction.

A train line that leaves the neighborhood of Cosme Velho, South Zone of the city goes to the top of Corcovado. This is the most classic tour to do. For the train cuts through the forest towards Cristo Redentor. The landscape on the way is spectacular. The railway line has more than one hundred years of existence. The ticket purchase is made only through the website where the tour is scheduled by appointment.

Christ the Redeemer was declared one of the seven wonders of the world by UNESCO. From the top of Corcovado it is possible to see important points of the city. Highlighting the Pão de Açúcar Montain, the Maracanã Stadium, the Guanabara Bay and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.

Pedra Branca State Park - The largest urban forest in the world.

 The Pedra Branca State Park is in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro and encompasses eleven neighborhoods in the city. The park is considered one of the largest urban forests in the world. There are trails of all levels that lead to beautiful viewpoints, waterfalls, natural pools, a lake and even wild beaches. The park suffers from abandonment, as the number that takes care of security is very low compared to the size of the area. The forest suffers from the advance of irregular constructions and the action of hunters, which ends up making it difficult to observe the local fauna. Pedra Branca State Park is the highest point in the city at 1025 meters high, but its view is limited due to the vegetation that surrounds the place.
