A IMPERIAL CHURCH IN RIO

The Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo is located in the center of Rio de Janeiro. Its history began in the 18th century. The church is the old cathedral of the city and was the scene of the coronation of Emperor Dom Pedro I.
The interior of the temple is decorated with golden details with great luxury. The artwork is amazing and is very well maintained.
The temple is close to Praça XV, one of the main squares in the historic center.
