 The incredible Mirante Dona Marta is a viewpoint located in the Tijuca National Park, close to the access road to Cristo Redentor statue.

The viewpoint has free entry but you can only go by car.

Pedra da Gávea - The great stone

 Pedra da Gávea is the largest stone wall by the sea in the world. It is located between the neighborhoods of São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca. With 840 meters of altitude it has a heavy level trail that goes to the top of the mountain. From various points in Rio de Janeiro it is possible to see Pedra da Gávea. There are legends that say the stone is actually a Phoenician sphinx. Others say the site is a flying saucer landing site.
