A CONTROVERSIAL CATWALK

 The Passarela da Rocinha passes over a busy expressway and helps the residents of Favela da Rocinha to get to the other side of the road where there is a bus stop.

The project is by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer and cost millions to the public coffers. 
The issue is that there was a footbridge that needed a ramp to be installed. But the state government demolished the old one and built a new one, unnecessarily.
The work has a monument similar to the one in the Sambadrome, which resembles the letter m.
