 Who goes to the center of Rio de Janeiro comes across many signs referring to the VLT, but what is it?

It is a modern tram that runs through several points of the city center, integrating public transport in the region.

The three lines are operated by the VLT Carioca concessionaire.

The park suffers from abandonment, as the number that takes care of security is very low compared to the size of the area. The forest suffers from the advance of irregular constructions and the action of hunters, which ends up making it difficult to observe the local fauna. Pedra Branca State Park is the highest point in the city at 1025 meters high, but its view is limited due to the vegetation that surrounds the place.

FIRST RESIDENCE OF THE PORTUGUESE ROYAL FAMILY

  The Paço Imperial is a historic spot located in Praça XV, one of the main squares in the historic center of Rio de Janeiro. It was the first residence of the Portuguese royal family when they fled to Brazil in 1808.
