Vegan Food in Rio

Rio de Janeiro is a city with many options when it comes to gastronomy, and here I always try to bring places that I frequent and are of good quality.

Today I present Pura Rio, a vegan restaurant that works with organic ingredients. It is located in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of the city, and has a beautiful view of Lagoa da Tijuca. It has a seasonal menu and prices are fair to what is offered. In addition, the space offers activities such as yoga and stand up paddle.

I got to know the space years ago, I always followed it on facebook and it was amazing when I had the opportunity to pay a visit.

The space is small but the service is excellent and the food so... even better.

A beautiful garden - Jardim de Alah

 Jardim de Alah is a public park located between the neighborhoods of Leblon and Ipanema, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The park was opened in 1938, and borders the canal that bears the same name as the park. Currently the area serves as a leisure area for pets.

Pedra Branca State Park - The largest urban forest in the world.

 The Pedra Branca State Park is in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro and encompasses eleven neighborhoods in the city. The park is considered one of the largest urban forests in the world. There are trails of all levels that lead to beautiful viewpoints, waterfalls, natural pools, a lake and even wild beaches. The park suffers from abandonment, as the number that takes care of security is very low compared to the size of the area. The forest suffers from the advance of irregular constructions and the action of hunters, which ends up making it difficult to observe the local fauna. Pedra Branca State Park is the highest point in the city at 1025 meters high, but its view is limited due to the vegetation that surrounds the place.
