Quebra Mar, the Barra da Tijuca Pier

Quebra Mar is a breakwater that divides Barra da Tijuca Beach and the Joatinga Channel that connects the sea to Lagoa da Tijuca. It is located in the Barra da Tijuca district, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The Pier of Barra is a famous sunset observation point. But be careful on rough sea days, as the waves hit the pier with force.
