These paradises are hidden in the West Zone of the city, in a large area of preserved forest. Access is via a moderate level trail with an average duration of forty minutes depending on the chosen beach. The trail starts in the Barra de Guaratiba neighborhood. Summer in Rio

Summer is the most anticipated time for many inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. The season starts in December and runs until March. During this period, the city receives millions of tourists who look for its paradisiacal beaches and the parties that take place at this time. The grand opening of summer in Rio begins with the New Year's Eve party at Copacabana Beach, considered the largest in the world. Between February and March there is carnival, the biggest party in the world. During this period, several cultural organizations called "bloc" went out into the streets, attracting thousands of people. In the famous Sambódromo, the luxurious parades of samba schools, known around the world, take place. But what many people don't know is that the summer heat in Rio de Janeiro is unbearable. Rocinha, the biggest favela of the Rio de Janeiro

Image
Rocinha is the biggest favela in Rio de Janeiro. According to estimates, more than three hundred thousand people live there. Its emergence took place at the beginning of the 20th century, and the migration of many people from the northeast region of Brazil intensified its disorderly growth. As with most of the city's favelas, Rocinha is dominated by criminals, which ends up bringing insecurity to the residents as shootings are not uncommon due to the war between criminal factions and also with the police who, in a poor and disorderly way, enter the favela provoking confusion. Another issue is the lack of infrastructure. Sewage runs through the alleys and streets leaving the local population vulnerable to diseases due to the lack of basic sanitation. The favelas demonstrate the complete bankruptcy of Brazil as a nation, as one of the largest economies in the world has a large percentage of its population surviving in areas where the smallest infrastructure does not exist.

The famous "Casas Casadas", in English married houses, are located in the neighborhood of Laranjeiras, in the south of Rio de Janeiro. Built in the 19th century it predates the current popular apartment buildings today. This construction was a solution found for collective housing while maintaining privacy for residents. The space currently houses Rio Filmes, a Brazilian film distributor.
