The wonderful staircase: Escadaria Selarón

 The Escadaria Selarón is a famous staircase of Rio de Janeiro city. It is located in Lapa, Downtown Rio de Janeiro.

It all started in the 1990s when the artist Jorge Selarón began to cover the steps with tiles forming various mosaics. Soon the point became famous and many people stopped by to see the artist at work.

Unfortunately Jorge passed away a few years ago, but his work was immortalized in the famous Escadaria Selarón.

A beautiful garden - Jardim de Alah

 Jardim de Alah is a public park located between the neighborhoods of Leblon and Ipanema, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The park was opened in 1938, and borders the canal that bears the same name as the park. Currently the area serves as a leisure area for pets.

Pedra Branca State Park - The largest urban forest in the world.

 The Pedra Branca State Park is in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro and encompasses eleven neighborhoods in the city. The park is considered one of the largest urban forests in the world. There are trails of all levels that lead to beautiful viewpoints, waterfalls, natural pools, a lake and even wild beaches. The park suffers from abandonment, as the number that takes care of security is very low compared to the size of the area. The forest suffers from the advance of irregular constructions and the action of hunters, which ends up making it difficult to observe the local fauna. Pedra Branca State Park is the highest point in the city at 1025 meters high, but its view is limited due to the vegetation that surrounds the place.
