Beaches in Rio: São Conrado Beach
São Conrado Beach is in the neighborhood of the same name in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro city.
It is approximately two kilometers long. Its sea is agitated most of the year, requiring attention when bathing.
The waterfront is almost exclusively residential with only one functioning hotel, the Hotel Nacional.
Unfortunately the beach suffers from pollution. On rainy days it is possible to see sewage pouring into its sands.
As in most of the city's beaches, there are kiosks where it is possible to have a meal or just drink coconut water.
It is worth visiting and admiring its beautiful landscape, especially at sunset.
