Rio Old Town: Municipal Theater

 The Municipal Theater is located in Cinelândia, a famous square in the Historic Center of Rio de Janeiro.

It was built in 1909 taking inspiration from the Paris Opera Garnier.

Construction is a work of art. Its facade is iconic with emphasis on the golden eagle that is at the highest part of the building.

The interior is majestic with an emphasis on the marble staircase.

The theater offers guided tours, an incredible tour where you can see the monument in detail.
