ALONE ON THE RIDE TO CRISTO REDENTOR STATUE

Cristo Redentor is one of the main tourist attractions in Brazil. The statue is on top of Corcovado Hill in Tijuca National Park. The site has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
There are two ways to visit the monument. By train or by van. The train leaves from the Cosme Velho neighborhood, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Vans leave from three points in the city. Copacabana Beach, Largo do Machado or Paineiras.

The train is the responsibility of the concessionaire Trem do Corcovado. You can take the subway and get off at Largo do Machado station. There, board line 580 which passes in front of the train station. Ask the driver for help or find yourself using google maps to find the drop-off location.
Vans are easier because boarding can be done at Copacabana Beach. Another boarding point is at Largo do Machado, a square that has a subway station.
If you want to go by car, you can choose to board Paineiras, which is close to Cristo Redentor. There is a visitor center with a restaurant and parking. From Paineiras to Cristo Redentor you must board the Paineiras-Corcovado company van.
The most classic way is to choose to go by train. The railway line cuts through the forest going up the Corcovado hill and offering a beautiful view of the city.
I hope this information helps you on your journey. Below are the official websites of the mentioned companies.
