Rio Tourist Guide

 Sambódromo is the main stage of Rio's carnival. Considered a large open-air theater, the space is divided into blocks of concrete bleachers. During the carnival, the famous samba schools parade through the arena for an audience of over 70 thousand people. The end of the arena is marked by a large concrete structure shaped like the letter "M".

 The Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro is an institution with more than two hundred years of history. The arboretum has species from around the world. For its beautiful wooded roads there are lakes, streams, waterfalls and old buildings. The most famous spot in the park is a road decorated with imperial palm trees.

 Barra de Guaratiba is a neighborhood in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is located between the mountains of the Pedra Branca State Park and the sea. In the region is the last preserved mangrove area in Rio de Janeiro and also the last wild beaches in the city. Its population is around five thousand inhabitants, giving the neighborhood a characteristic of a small town in the interior. Barra de Guaratiba is famous because of its gastronomic center focused on seafood.

 Cine Odeon is the oldest cinema in Rio that is still in operation. It is located in the famous Cinelândia Square, Historic Center of Rio de Janeiro. It opened at the beginning of the 20th century, when there were several cinemas in the region.
