Copacabana Beach

Copacabana Beach is in the South Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is approximately four kilometers long and has a very urban landscape. A large number of hotels are concentrated on its waterfront. Its boardwalk with mosaic made of Portuguese stones is also famous.

The beach hosts several events throughout the year. The biggest one is the New Year's Eve party that gathers more than two million people.

When taking a walk on the beach or on the boardwalk, be aware that theft is frequent in the region.
